Some vampires that I like:

Count Orlok, (as played by Max Schreck), from the 1922 silent film 'Nosferatu'. The entire film, which can easily be found through youtube, is worth watching just for Count Orlok. He is ugly, discomforting, like an unpleasant dream that wakes you up in the night. While the protagonist could have easily been played by Phillip J. Fry, and the stop motion special effects make me laugh, Orlok is just chilling.

Blacula, (as played by William Marshall), from the two 1970s blaxsploitation films "Blacula" and "Scream, Blacula, Scream". Again, Blacula is completely the reason to watch either of these films. Marhshall breaths depth into what could have been a very shallow role with his deep, commanding, voice, and calm, sophisticated demeanor. Also, the 70s outfits are hilarious. A dude dressed up in a Dracula outfit would not be out of place at all in there.

Vampire Hunter D, who is also half vampire (that counts!). For some reason, being at least half-vampire is a per-requisite for being a vampire hunter. Failing that, you can also pass if you have a tragic back story where vampires killed your mother/ rest of the family.

Gotta say my eyeballs began to skid around the page there, possibly not enough art breaking up the text paragraphs, or possibly I have the attention span of an amoeba.

No worries. I'll admit, I got mighty lazy with the art.
